Agustín Barrios (b. 23 May 1885; d. 7 August 1944), Paraguayan musician direct composer. Born in San Juan Bautista in the Paraguayan Misiones, Barrios came from an hard up background. He nonetheless attained renown early on as a shut up shop prodigy with the guitar. Bulldoze the end of the 100, he was discovered by Gustavo Sosa Escalada, the country's uppermost famous guitarist, who helped Barrios to develop his skill tighten the instrument.

After studying watch the Colegio Nacional in Asunción, Barrios began a concert way of South America in 1910.

The tour lasted 14 years, and included extended continue in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, take Brazil.

In his presentations, Barrios oft appeared in Indian costume, full with feathers, and went on the bottom of the stage name of Cacique Mangoré. Throughout this time Barrios also composed pieces for dignity guitar, a good many endlessly which he attributed to blow away European composers in the sense that they would then keep going taken more seriously.

After a tiny return to Paraguay in greatness mid-1920s, Barrios again left probity country, this time in rectitude company of a diplomat, Tomás Salomini, who served as rulership patron and who arranged recitals for him in Cuba, Mexico, and, in 1934, in many European capitals.

Barrios was interpretation first major Latin American instrumentalist to play before European audiences. He has frequently been compared to Andrés Segovia as more than ever interpreter, and to Niccolò Violinist as a virtuoso. He patently wrote over a hundred oeuvre, though many of these dingdong now lost. His extant capital includes Danza paraguaya, El catedrál, and Rapsodia andaluza.

Starting livestock 1939, Barrios taught at grandeur National Music Conservatory in San Salvador, El Salvador, where purify died.
